Nehemiah Davis says:

What is the difference between brushed and brushless rc cars

Nick Hughes says:

Hey guys just watched your video about the slash i love my slash since i
got a LiPo battery my truck has been hauling ass and i love its finally
beating my wifes bandit but since I had a new motor put in today it’s been
overheating a lot and almost catching on fire there way I can disperse the
heat off the motor to keep it cooler so I wouldn’t have this problem also
I’m wondering if it’s just my LiPo battery producing more heat to the motor
cause I burnt through my stock motor

Luke Griffin says:

What would you recommend for a newbie trying to get into the hobby? I’m
interested in speed, but would like to have an off road option as well.
Also being a begginer I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg. The 3 options
I was considering were the stampede, rustler or slash. All 2wd options mind
you. To be perfectly honest what intrigues me the most are the
modifications, performance and physical appearance. I understand I could
purchase the vxl version of all these and have a beast right out of the
box, but I rather the gratification of upgrading the vehicle myself. I
understand it’ll cost more in the long run, but I don’t want to spend 400$
right out the gate to find out a week later the hobby isn’t for me. Oh and
I’d say bashing is what I would use it for mostly. Sorry for the
excessively long message!

Levi Jones says:

I hace a slash 2wd with a brushed in it. Really good truck. Better than
sc10 anyday!

Shawn Ayala says:

My wife just picked me up one of these for Christmas. Played with it a bit
outside on the street and in the sand and had a blast. I know most of the
chassis/suspension parts are plastic, is there anything you would recommend
to upgrade first that would prolong the durability and life of the truck?
Thanks for your time!

digiprez77 says:

The Slash 2WD is like a dream come true for novice RC enthusiasts.
Out-of-the box it has terrible handling characteristics compared to an
SC10, for example, but it looks and acts like a real stadium truck. There
is something satisfying about mashing the throttle and seeing the rear
squat down real low. In a straight line the Slash is pretty fast, but it
corners poorly. The CG is simply just too high. You reach a point where
no amount of tuning can overcome the simple effects of gravity. The
handling characteristics are great for the average new driver though, and
it does take some skill to drive accurately, making it a good entry-level
trainer, especially since they are so durable. Mistakes don’t even matter.
The Slash stock racing class is fun. For the money, the Slash 2WD is by
far the best RC car ever produced. I hate the 4X4’s though. Too many
rookies buy them because it says on the box that they go 50 mph compared to
25 for the 2WD (the brushed one). Then they try to drive them at the track
and just crash around everywhere, including into my car.

TheMicro RcWorld says:

Hey does the battery come slightly charged? Plus can you charge a traxxas
3s lipo using the stock charger????

Mrfootykid14 says:

check my video of my traxxas slash 2wd

Jason Alexander says:

My slash 2wd kicks the sc10’s asses by I have a custom suspension

Austin Martinez says:

Is that mtg headquarters Jeremy

Ethan Salus says:

I bought one but do they make a 2wd one that has a motor in the body not at
the end?

David Fisher Jr says:

I bought a roller like this one for $30.00 body included thanks for the
review.

JJ247 says:

These two guys do some great review videos of various RC vehicles. Also, if
you’ve ever wondered what would happen if Chris Farley and Zach
Galifianakis had a child together and that child paired up with the love
child of David Spade and Justin Bieber and those two children grew up to
talk about RC cars, then this is for you also.

maikol rodriquez says:

Let me tell ya’ll sumthin’… real good shit = slash 2wd + lcg + velineon +
tqi telemetry.

Brigham Peterson says:

Best truck!

Brigham Peterson says:

It is waterproof i run mine through the water all the time

BOAGAN / ABBO says:

I dont understand brushed and brushless? can anyone help im getting a slash
– ford f-150 raptor pretty much the standard its brushed obviously electric
and its ive had some other rc’s but this is my first decent one and i want
to start with this tank as a basher but want the power capabilities so im
looking at upgrading my shocks and guards but also is it possible and how
much to upgrade it to a Brushless motor? thanks would be happy to design a
youtube background to whoever answers this

RCwalrus says:

its not fully waterproof the screws and bearings will rust

7badtothebone says:

Hey if I put a powerful battery in my slash will it affect it in a bad way?

Billy Beach says:

What rate is it out of 10??

SySTeM4T1c says:

WISCONSIN!

krazy4baja says:

Can u get the lcg chassis for this 2wd truck as well as better shocks. If
so this would be my truck of choice. I like the 4×4 as well but I’d be
concerned about the centre drive shaft and all the rocks getting thrown
into the chassis. I really want one of these trucks but having a tough time
deciding which one

Cody Johnstonbaugh says:

Brushless if taken care of will last 10+ years difference from brushed
motors…. speed triples acceleration triples long life runs cooler can run
high powered lipo battery’s,can push the slash to 50mph+ brushed last
around 5 years lac of torque runs hotter out dated tops out at 25mph on
slash but are cheap to replace and great for beginners but if your a
skilled rc driver go brushless

Traey Hoddenbagh says:

What would be a faster steering servo for the slash ( metal gears)

Rock Oh says:

Why does the Slash’s rear end look like it’s sagging and bottoming out
while driving?

RCwalrus says:

i think this review is biased

Alexander GG says:

top speed

Dillonxman25 says:

Thanks for the review guys. you and a friend of mine help me decide my
first truck!

darren dorion says:

look at this review bro

Phil S says:

What part of Wisconsin are you in??

brandon baraks says:

i have 130 bucks and it cost 200 and my mom still says no because i will
break it

FrostyTheTwinkie says:

Hmm, maybe some big bores with aluminum end caps, and the oil weight is up
to how you drive your car same with the springs

bill brown says:

I never had that problem maybe its not lined up right or the motor is loose

Abi Styles says:

hey friendofrc I have a traxxas slash 2WD vellenion. The motor and the
transmitter are not working i try to turn it on but it just won’t turn on.
I’ve tried recharging the battery switching the battery cleaning do I get a
new battery or a new motor.

Jester says:

wait keeping with the stock chassis if I convert it to a backslash do I
enter it in the 2wd 8th scale buggy class or the slash mod class?

chase dorsey says:

thanks, just did it and any input in what shocks i should get, my truck is
all stock and i wanna upgrade it

tillsy23 says:

I have used and abused the vxl version of this truck over the past 4 months
with a 3s lipo and have managed to chew up 4 sets of rear tyres, I tried a
few different sets from the bandit and some anacondas for top speed runs, I
managed 62mph with 31/76 and 3s but have some how lost reverse. I did
manage to break a drive shaft, 3 rear carriers and the roll pin in the main
shaft that the spur gear sits on, I replaced it with 8mm of body clip and a
dob of super glue and its still going strong

Jacob Theabold says:

Yes but i would recommend upgrading a cooling fan on the ESC

EPICX ELBEAST says:

How long does it take to charge the battery

rcmaster4life says:

Love the truck, so far I’ve only bent a shock shaft, and ruined a body

FrostyTheTwinkie says:

Get some plyers, take the shock off the truck, remove the spring and bend
the rod back, this happened to me, and i just bent it back

RCNetworkUS says:

OMG that sucks

David Styskal says:

id go with yes. but do enough research, actaully read the manual when you
get it because you will find out a few things that you more than likely
didnt know before

Andrew Will says:

no it suck stampede is the worst racing truck
