More RC planes, multirotors and mayhem with the usual suspects of the Forest Fliers on an early winter Sunday.

Roddy has attempted to revive the E-Flite Carbon Cub with only limited success. Adam has come over from Rotorua with his AXN and mini-H quadcopter. Gordon has his 70mm EDF Dolphin and quad.

We flew from early in the am to late in the pm, none of this sissy-style “couple of hours” that so many NZ clubs limit themselves to.

Once again, the magnetic trees are proving to be a powerful lure for models and Roddy shows his unique tree-climbing abilities (are you watching Alex?) 🙂

It’s Sunday, and the fun continues.

BMSWEB says:

Those hot glue guns seem to use a lot of fuel ;)

TJ Sensat says:

He created the “Nimo” of rc aircraft! One flipper hahahah.

spocktra50 says:

I think Alex will be pleased to have inspired such plane wreck
calamity.Great fun guys but a definite Nay from me on the Helicub-xn 2000.

douglas faulds says:

this is far more entertaining than it was when you kept to the rules

bgdwiepp says:

I gotta say, you fellows should invest in some bbq skewers, they work very
well with EPO and hot glue :P

Jasonhayz42 says:

Your sarcastic comments about this being unsafe flying really cracked me
up. Don’t we all love strict club rules? No we don’t!

alyinsanfran says:

Jeez that looks fun!

Boozie Boo says:

A hot glue gun with deans plug or xt 60, might save you guys some petrol,
but i dont think the lipos could handle the ammount of hot glue required,
best stick with the genne:)

Product Image Photography says:

How are you guys transporting the AXN’s? The wings don’t remove right? I
just checked and at 1.3m wide there is no way I could fit one of these in
my car assembled.

Derrick Halford says:

Enjoyed your weekend flying Bruce, well watching the others fly anyway, but
your comments about ‘unsafe flying’ are getting a little over the top.
Yes, you’re all having great fun, as many of us do and perhaps like you,
we don’t adhere to ‘flight lines’ and all going in the same direction
because we also do it for fun. Can we leave it at that, pretty please.

Plowboy H says:

Another great video Bruce Charlie and Roddy would fly well together, but I
don’t know what the plane would look like.

GNiessen says:

Has anyone ever gotten hurt at a flyin? Beside a minor burn from the hot
glue?

NZToddy says:

Great day all round!! Nothing like the smell of petrol and hot glue in the
morning!! Gotta love it;-))

Icy Bird says:

It’s stupid how everybody thinks that rc planes kill. Maybe huge balsa
gassers but 40 inches of foam won’t decapitate anybody. I have been yelled
at for flying mini 30 in wings at parks. This guy was walking his dog and
he saw me flying so he came over and yelled at me even though I was the
only person on the field. I don’t think you need a flight line to fly a
foam rc plane, just have fun! Like your doing.

Brian B says:

I always enjoy these viddys!

CharlieOscar602 says:

Bruce, the mini quad at 6:17, is that the QAV 250? or something else?

Philip Bailey says:

“sissy-style couple of hours” Love it! Keep on keeping the spirit alive and
well, good on you :-)

reezlaw says:

Jeez, a 2.5 channel AXN… now I’ve seen everything

RoboTekno says:

Hi Bruce. If you don’t mind me asking, what camera(s) do you use for making
your videos (excluding small keychain cameras and the Mobius style
cameras). I found a video on your channel about your older camcorder from
2011, but I can’t seem to find info on what camcorder(s) you’re using these
days.

Thanks in advance, :-)
