Dude, if your gonna post videos on YouTube, then you should at least
respond to all of the questions that people are asking! You have tons of
questions and havn’t answered them back! I appreciate your video and help,
but be cool and respond to people that take the time to watch your videos
and comment!
Really AWESOME info. I’m new but not really. I was stupid and started with
a heli and not a sim. I’m gave up and I’m back into it again. I got a
couple quad copters and now want to get another heli. But want to do it
right and work with the sim first. Thanks for the info. Hope you have a few
more starter video’s.
Great tutorial Freddie! I’m just waiting to get my very first rc
helicopter. I have a Skyartec wasp x3v coming and really am looking forward
to trying it out, maybe this weekend. Fortunately, it has a beginner mode
and an advanced mode. I’ll be learning in beginner mode. This vid has given
me the basics (I hope) to get up enough nerve to try this hobby for the
first time. ( I know 62 years old, late bloomer ha ha)
hey freddy, i’m new to the hobby so im starting out with the sims first,
cause i don’t want to crash my Align 450/Clone 450 & 250, i have RF7 and
Phoenix 5 using a JR XP9303 & Hitec Optic 6, in Phoenix 5 i seem to have
more control but in RF7 i can’t hold the Heli in a stable hover like your
doing in the vid, it always wants to go aileron left or right when my stick
is dead center, what am i missing in settings
Thanks – should help me on my next flight – had 3 crashes in a row with a
blade 200 SRX [bit to windy plus never flown before so i’m still hopeful]
Know a lot now about repairs :)
Brilliant thanks for the video, I was wondering which area to start on as I
have got the hovering down left right forward back all controlled nice, so
I will start with the side ways on controlling next, not ready for nose
facing me control yet as I panic with controls lol. Mcpx v2 I have atm.
thank for your detail in teaching.
here is question: I notice when u hover , your tail not actually point
direct to yourself but around 10degree off to left or right. Is that a
safety habit in case of tail blade broken? I should practice the same this
right?
I would like to say thanks, this is and good video. I’m and beginner and I
learn and great deal about hovering. pitch. and tip and tricks looking
forward to the next one.
great leason thanks, I need to get a sim like you have, im new to a single
rotor copters and realy intrested in them but Iknow nothing about them, so
the question is what would be a good starter chopper to learn the basics in
real life. thanks
Hey Freddy,
Just wanted to say thank you for what you do. I’m really excited for your
website to get up and running, so we can help support you as you’ve done
for so many of us. Your work is much appreciated. You are an amazing
teacher, and that is not a skill to be taken lightly.
Thank you again friend,
Mike
P.S. I’m a flight RN, so I spend lots of time in an EC 145. I love flying
in the real thing, but my passion for my R/C heli is just as great!
I’m unfamiliar with helicopter flying, I have a 4channel TX, would I be
able to fly with that? I’m thinking of buying a HobbyKing 450 CCPM Ver2.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m not looking to do stunts or
aerobatics just basic hovering and flying around. :-)
Awesome, good info. I’m going to have to give this a go.
I’ve got bored with my Blade MCX and stepped up to the Blade MSRX, flybar
less , non collective and this thing is a hand full! Even though I can zip
around with the MCX, I can only hover around inside with the MSRX, it’s
just so fast.
I’m setup on a DX6i per the manual but do you have any tips that would
help?
Thanks for the great video. It was a tremendous help. As I am just
getting started, all I was doing was crash after crash, until I watched
this. Now, I still have a long way to go, but getting better each flight.
Your video gave me the starting point I needed.
Thanks a lot for the share of knowledge, mate ! This videos comes in the
right time for me learning on a 450 trex clone straight from coaxial type
:o) Well I have around 1 min flight time already and 2 light crashes 😀
Thank you again I will try your way in a few days !
I recently went from toy to hobby grade with a blade nano and man did I
feel stupid but hey these videos are great not enough people wanna take the
time to help others so thanks.they helped me a lot!!!
Ha Freddy, I just got a KDS 450 innova heli and checked over everything and
everything works find. is there anything you may went to tell me before I
go fly for my first time. about 30 years ago I did planes and was always
scared to fly heli’s.
well I’m still scared…… help please!!!
beautiful demonstration! I have a mini pred 3D which i whish to learn to
fly and once i get the ang of that i would like a 600/700 heli. i will buy
this flight sim too.
Great video One tip for beginners like myself using Phoenix:Set the
simulation speed down to 50% to begin with (In Program setup… Physics).
It gives you loads more time to react to what the heli is doing, and
correct mistakes. Once you’ve got 50% down, increase the speed 10% at a
time until you’re at 100% or above. It’s especially good, if you’re
impatient like me, and just want to storm into doing loops and hammerhead
turns and knife edge flying without hours of hovering practice. Hovering
practice is certainly important, but at slow speeds, even a person taking
up the controls for the first time ever can perform some relatively
advanced manoeuvres, and get a feel for how the bird reacts to the
controls, tail in or out, or inverted. And of course, when you inevitably
crash you come back to hovering for a bit.
Excellent video. I’ve pretty much mastered my tail hovers and travelling
sideways, forwards and backwards on my own and with minimal use of a sim.
Its enough to get me my bronze cert, but its a long way off from what I’d
consider proper flying. I’ve done a few circuits too (with cyclic and
rudder), but they always felt hairy cause my orientation is still poor.
This video has given me a push in the right direction. After watching
this vid, I started practicing sideways facing hovers in phoenix. Took me
a few goes to get it right, but after approx 20 mins, I continuously nailed
it. Eventually, I’ll move onto nose hovers.
Freddy Cordova, why you make its look so easy? I been try for one week just
for hover from all direction still cant do that, almost desperate. or
because i use cgm next simulator?

Thanks for the good instructions and guide, still working on smooth
collective free hovers but this video really did help!
wow realy helpful im waiting on my thunder tiger e620,,thanks
Great coaching! Thanks very much for putting these videos together.

I need to do this with my reaper 500, just hover it..
.. it is a different monster from my other quads..

Nice confidence booster and review as my batteries charge. I like the
tutorial as you go. Thanks…….
a true teacher
concise, intuitive, cuts to the chase without overdoing it, makes you feel
like you payed for it. very good,i learned alot.

Nice video. Informative but not to heavy with technical jargon.
cool video man its a good tip for me since I’m a newbe to heli’s ill be
practicing this tomorrow thumbs up keep them good tips coming !
Would the JM806 model work with this?

Very helpful. Could you recommend a simulator software?
What is the pc game called as I’ve ordered the usb controller
Great coaching! 😀 Thank you very much, I’ll use this video before
practice again and again… 😀 Cheers!
Very helpful; thank you!
so,when you want to control pitch with the throttle you can switch the
radio to do just that, and vice versa?
thank for your detail in teaching.

Thank you for your flight instruction videos! They’re GRRRRRREAT!
You are a great instructor! Thank You.
Omg, this is the best help I have seen on youtube using a sim. Thank you
for this
Very good advice, Freddy! Motivating and inspiring, i am off to the attic
and my Fsim setup for extra hours of hovertraining!
Thx a lot Freddy, to chair your knowledge with us on video. You did a great
job. Thanks again from a newbie from Belgium.
Tanks Freddy this helped a lot

I see you have very few dislikes. I enjoyed your video I am getting an

very good
What model was it in the “reflex” program?, i cant find the same back
ground or model. Nice talk and very clear and basic.
thanks for the help
Thanks this was really well explained
