RC Car Action’s Aaron Waldron was invited down to SDRC Raceway in San Diego, CA for an exclusive test day with Team Associated’s new B5 and B5M, becoming the first person outside of Team Associated (and just the sixth person in the world) to spin laps with the new buggies. He shares his driving impressions of both buggies and talks about how they handled the sticky indoor clay track.

Love seeing my home track
Is Hartson and Cavalieri going to drive the B5’s at the Reedy?
just ordered my B5 I cant wait any longer for the dam b5m to come
out so I just buying the B5 and forgetting about the b5m
Great vid! Great driving too! Hope to be driving a TA once again after a
rather long lay off.
Upset. Now am tolf kit is on backorder till the 15th of may. The saga
continues. What was once the 4th of april, them mid april, then late april
now becomes mid may. Buggy better be good.
“Mid motor better on every condition?” Not sure how it would do on a low
traction track
just pre ordered my b5r cant weight to build it and start racing it at the
track.
They should have had the Reedy Race there..much better layout. I dunno
about that rear motor..looks a little sketchy and light in the front end.
Hopefully they make an aluminum bulkhead for it..that should help a little
for weight..I ran one in my 4.2 and that helped a lot. Mid motor looks
pretty good though. Shame they didn’t race these at Reedy..can’t understand
how they didn’t have enough parts.
Awesome footage and nice edit. The cars look awesome and great track too.
The B5M looks like a handful. Cant wait to drive one
Getting an M myself. What a way to jump back into the hobby. Impressive
vehicle.
That “R” seemed to understeer like a mofo. Hoping to pick up a “M” soon!
Wow, b5m looked WAY better than the b5r. Much better rotation in corners
and lands better.
Very nice
Not everyone likes stupid heavy metal music.. it’s gets in the way of
enjoying the rc
