Team Associated engineer Bob Stellflue discusses the challenges and successes of designing the new B5 and B5M buggies during an exclusive test day at SDRC Raceway. Bob lends insight into the choice to make separate rear- and mid-motor buggies, the design tweaks made to each car to suit the platforms, and how each will behave on the racetrack.

Very good information. I like the fact that they took the time to explain.
Thumbs up
Get ready for another 5 championships.
This is one of the BEST interviews i have ever seen with a designer. He
actually seemed to care about explaining the decisions made, and why its
pertinent to the design of the chassis. And did it with a real passion for
the engineering behind it. Not just laying down a thick layer of hyperbole,
and marketing jargon, to use the interview as a promotional piece to
advertise the new platform. We can all read the box just fine, there is no
need to see how many registered trade marks per sentence they can spew
about features. Its a race car first and foremost, tell me why its a better
race car. Bob Stellflue really captured that essence in this interview, and
i commend both he, and Associated, for speaking openly about their
products.
Excited to see it run.
dont forget kinwald….
ABSOLUTE BEST report I have seen on the internet about car development for
a long while. Award winning interview in my books. Fantastic!
