This wasn’t Kyosho’s first electric monster truck but definitely its most popular. It was modelled after the full-size USA-1 Monster truck but featured independent suspension. There was also a nitro version that was based on a Kyosho 1/8-scale buggy chassis. The body was moulded out of Lexan but used regular plastic components such as a grille, roll cage and bumpers to enhance the look of the truck.

Here is the eBay store I purchased the truck from: http://www.ebay.ca/usr/tekspeck (Riskey Concepts) Looks like he does some cool stuff & has a great rating (99.9%)!! Check our what they have for sale 🙂

and now a Traxxas Stampede I had alot of fun with them growing up and they
all still work to this day but you have to be careful with the TAMIYA brand

Frederick McClellan says:

Hey Medic sorry if I spelled your name wrong but I have a couple of 20 year
old RCs. I was wondering why you are have such a hard time fixing them. I
am only 14 and hardly know anything about them but I got them running in a
couple hours.

Keely Teslow says:

Was it shipped with the tire/wheel assemblies attached? No wonder things
broke. My friend’s USA-1 is now my Blazer. It’s as old as me! It’s
rockin’ Boca Bearings, Trinity shocks and Monster Mash motors plus Novak
610RV ESC and Stutter Stopper and Futaba radio gear, all old school. The
big tires were beating itself to death and made it uncontrollable at high
speed on pavement. Parts are long out of production and what is available
is way too expensive. We converted the hubs to the more common 12mm hex
hubs, Now it runs Proline Flatiron tires with the foam inserts trimmed by
35% on Thunder Tiger 2.2 rims. The offset is such that it’s as narrow as
can be. We retarded the timing on the motors. That combined with smaller
diameter and less rolling resistance from the tires gives us longer run
times. We cleaned and lubed everything, tightened up anything we could
with shims, added a Proline body…testing everything in a small garage.
The open diff’s aren’t exactly ideal but it’s way fun! Weather permitting,
I’ll be off-roading soon! BTW, LOVE your vids! Pinky ROCKS! m/

MrTpengineer says:

Had a awesome New Bright before, unfortunately it got to the point where it
kept breaking (brittle plastic) and I could no longer use it, got rid of it
a long time ago for part’s. :/ The thing was very slow, top speed was
walking but it could climb anything. Ran off like 9 AA’s. Servo steering
and all that jazz.
