HiGH ENERGY MUSiC – You Have Been Warned 😉 ** Everett and I hit the track with our New CEN GST-E Monster Trucks (1/8th scale). I was so impressed with my first CEN that we knew we had to rip a few of these rigs on a track. It is a cloudy day.. but that didn’t deter us from having some fun with these Colossus MT’s. They are a little squirrely on the track with these types of tires.. as it seems to just float. But the 4wd certainly helps pull you out of a skid. These sure are a lot different than the 1/5th scale trucks we drive on this track.. but WOW, as you can see from the video.. they are a lot of fun. We DIDNT BREAK A THiNG!! My tire came out of its bead.. but other than needing to tighten the wheel nuts.. everything came out rather unscathed..

Here are some product specs (as I know folks will ask about them)

Scale – 1:8
Fuel type – Electric
Radio Bands – 2.4GHz
Wheel Type – 7.5 Inch Chrome wheel
Wheel Diameter – 7.5″
Tire Type – V-threaded Monster Tire
Suspension Type – 8 shocks with functional reservoirs
Motor Type – P4074 / 4P / 2200kV
Frame Material – Aluminum
Drive System – CVD 4WD
Model Number – CEG9514
Batteries Required? Yes

Here is what the manufacturer says on their website –

“Introducing the CEN Racing GST-E, the largest and most powerful 1/8 brushless monster truck in the market! Designed from the ground up to be a mean off-road dirt pounding machine the GST-E is engineered for maximum durability and amazing performance. Powered by a HobbyWing competition brushless 2200kV 4 Pole motor and ESC combo with high efficiency cooling fans on both the motor and ESC, you can rest assured that GST-E will stay “cool” and handle plenty of harsh bashing. The included radio system gives you peace of mind that only 2.4GHz can offer. Now you do not need to worry about other racers in the area, or EM interference from your massive power system! The GST-E features three fully sealed differentials that can be filled with silicone oil (grease included out of factory). The chassis design is perfectly balanced for superior handling. An active center differential is included on the GST-E for better durability and on-track performance. Couple this with the gargantuan 7.5 inch low profile tires and the GST-E will dwarf everything else out there. The special Colossus Edition features an updated body design. More importantly, it comes with a Savöx servo installed straight from the factory. Talk about bang for the buck, nothing else out there comes close!”

These trucks are fast as Hell, but I still see that they have their flaws
with them. Maybe the price will drop below $450, and then I can get my RC
on. Another great video MEDIC!!!!!

Neal Tott says:

Hi RCSparks i have a converted Cen Genesis.46 and my ESC keeps burning up
(magic smoke).
Ive gone through 3 now and just dont understand why this keeps happening.
Started with a Kershaw Designs conversion kit a 1/8 Turnigy 2350kv motor
with a Torro 8s 150a ESC (burnt)
Then a Xerun 4274 2000kv motor with Etronix photon 150a ESC (burnt that
too)
Finaly brought another Etronix photon ESC and that lasted 2 runs before it
died LOL
Any ideas pal

Hey medic I have a huge question slash favor. I know you usually deal with
the hobby level r/c but I have been trying to find this truck I had gotten
for Christmas when I was a kid in the 90’s it was made by new bright I
believe sold at Wal-Mart it was 9.6v and was a true 4wd. I was wondering if
I could ask you to look into my search and ask you hobby buddies at the
shop if they have ever had one . I would really like to have another one.
Through out my childhood it was probably the most expensive gift I ever
gotten. Any info would be awesome. Thanks for your time

DocWolph says:

AS often as I see videos, not just yours, where you lose a wheel nut, I
can’t help but think “linch pins for the wheel nuts” Either that or actual
lock nuts.

Rookie101 says:

Always fun to bash a couple monster trucks!

AbyssFlight says:

“sees CAT at beginning” hey i thought this video was supposed to be about
monster trucks?? oh wait that’s not an RC CAT!

K Duke says:

Ok man please answer this one question honestly. Out of the box on 4S would
you say the Colossus is tougher and faster on the 4S than your Savage Flux
HP?

Natalie Miranda says:

Your videos are so cool

Cosmo Pandaz says:

pegboard nerds… good choice of music

metalmanjakson01 says:

I think the colossus may be my next RC purchase. I had to sell off all but
one of my RC cars because I lost my job so all I have left is my racer.
That has now become a basher and isn’t taking it very well.

Justin Fox says:

How much do they cost and where can I get one

Joe Strasser says:

@Trenntfolsom you have your remote on 70/30 and or your esc is set on
70/30, if you have anyother trucks put one of there esc’s in it and try it
then you can find out if its the esc or the remote, if its the esc just
re-program it, the remote should have a switch

Jorge Casas says:
