Gary Taylor says:

Thanks for a very informative and enlightening video. I like the fact that
you truly start from the premise that some people have absolutely no
knowledge about anything to do with this hobby,as is the case with myself.
When I was a child my dad bought a couple of what I think were Cox planes
(although that may have just been the engine manufacturer) which were
controlled by a string line that the “pilot” on the ground held while the
plane was in flight. As I recall, the engine was known as a glow plug
engine and I attached a battery to the top and spun the prop with my finger
to start it.I would like to get back in to this hobby and I will follow
your Video series here. Thanks again!

Loh Jia Hung says:

Weirdly, I started off with an EDF.

William T says:

Is a Neptune 3D Fat Foam plane ok for a beginner?

Jason Mohlman says:

Thank you for this guys! Wanting to get started and have been looking at
the Super Cub. Great info and I appreciate your input for us beginners!!!
Thanks!

acehighflyer123 says:

Cessna’s were my first planes, then I moved to EDF, and 3D pretty much
immediately along with some war planes. I don’t know why people freak out
about bi-planes either, I got 3D bi plane early on and it flying
characteristics are really great, very stable, breaks speed well and you
can dial it up and go crazy when you are feeling great about your flying
that day, I must have almost 50 flights on almost everything I have and
crashed 3 times in two years on something that could not be repaired. The
key is to never buy name brand. I have over 20 planes and the closest thing
I have to name brand is a Phoenix hobbies Extra 300 from tower hobbies. You
can get so much more plane from Nitroplanes.com. and I have used them
extensively. My next goal is to convert my 3D fleet into balsa, I am
already three planes in….. EDGE 540, Raven 3D and the Extra 300. I also
want to move into at least one 6S EDF by the end of next year….

TheChellgames says:

I really want to make my own but idk how to do the engines and control
surfaces

SnakeBoy says:

Nice but im still getting a 4 channel, with a three channel you take wide
turns and cant control altitude

B. Tickles says:

I’m wanting to get in this hobby, I had a tiny bit of experience with the
HobbyZone Champ but it gets a little windy where I live and I’ve already
smashed it into the ground, is the E-Flite Apprentice recommended

ksiyaskid says:

It sounds like i need to first buy my own controller. Do most not come with
one?

Don Jacobs says:

I just bought arc next starr hi wing gas powerd its not foam its wood if
your new to this hobby do not get a mirco the next star is a arf witch
stands for almost ready to fly so you have to bulid some you need your own
transmiter and this is my first air plane so its almost done it cost 200
dallars as a arf you can also get it ready to fly for 400 dallars.

Riker Wilson says:

I need advice, should get the champ or the sport cub S, with the SAFE
program?

PowderedMonkey says:

hi someone can help me? I have this motor “ff 180 sh” i take it from an not
functional toothbrush (but the motor work just fine) now can someone tell
me if it can be used to make some sort of fliable plane? even if it’s slow

Nicki Süss says:

Best beginner Plane: UMX Radian as3x

vista7 says:

Good suggestions. I really enjoy these guys. I went with the Sport Cub S
as the first plane, and my 2nd plane is a UMX Radian. With the knowledge I
have now, I would have gone with the Radian first. It’s cheap, it’s pretty
durable, it’s easy to fly, it required no trimming out of the box, and it
flies great. My Sport Cub S has pretty much been through the ringer; it
only flies in beginner mode, but still it’s a bit more fun than the Radian.
It is touted as a beginner plane but would probably recommend it as a 2nd
plane. The other thing that is a challenge is a lot of beginner planes are
really light. Of course the HZ Champ is really popular as well.

andrea tonani says:

have u ever consider the fact that maybe nobody speaks english perfectly
and all this yes and no black or wight may just confuse who doesn’t own
english that much… keep it simple if is for rookies…. in ALL the
things

SkunkworksBoss says:

From your statement “with a three channel you take wide turns and cant
control altitude” it is quite plain you have never flown a model. What does
the elevator do in a three channel model? What does the throttle do in a
three channel model?

2002Tiki MC says:

Whats the name of that plane you recommend at the end, the white and blue
one that says super cub?

Frei Denker says:

cool .like it thanks

RChobby Star says:

what u think about NexStar EP Mini 2.4G RTF? good for beginers?

Rakshith baskar says:

can we use rc f22

Gavin Dabawz says:

The tail on the p51 mustang was red which means it was a tuskegee airmen
plane so shouldnt the pilot be black. Not being racist just historically
correct.

Alexandre durand says:

Could someone please tell me the name of the simulator they used in the
video ?Thanks

Daniel Zhou says:

Thank you very much! I was just about to go with a really nice balsa one
until I watched this. Thanks again!

nordemoniac says:

Love the death stare at 0:57 :D

xXActiv3Blu3Xx says:

I still did a Scott move, GO FOR FAST SICK LOOKING DEMOLISHING PLANE.

I went to a club and they said, put it in the closet X3, so I decided to
get a little 3 channel glider and a 5 channel 1400mm FMS Cessna 182

Johnny Renat says:

Thanks for making these videos, If it weren’t for you guys, my first plane
would be a 6ch nitro warbird, thanks ALOT

Codyhood6 says:

do you think a UMX Carbon Cub SS would be a good starter?

henry bui says:

can you choose a 4 channel?

ROG2000 says:

Unless you know absolutely nothing about R/C flight, go with 4 channels.
Much safer, and saved me a few times. Ailerons/Rudder are so useful.

Carl F. Wiegand says:

what happens if its winter and I cant fly? what’s the best rc plane for a
10 by 20 feet living room?

jacob tjoeptjoep says:

should i make the cheap ones and fight with them aganst other cheap ones?

Ijlaal Al Kharusi says:

I learnt allot I’m only 9 yrs old but I still want to get into the hobby.

Your Left Nipple says:

basically start shitty and small and not get the actaul cool planes

MisterZombro says:

Any chance you guys can do a series like this for quads?

bridger clymore says:

could i not just buy a 4 channel and not use one of the controls for a
while

Mark van Tienen says:

I once got a plane for my birthday which matches almost all the ideas in
8:49 but my dad threw it away for some reason… I will get another one!
Just a cheap foam one is good enough for me and probably about 10€ :D

1205juergen says:

Thanks for information …..

Kevin Baker says:

what is a good speed build kit from flite tests shop for beginners

Topvideos1001 says:

So let me get this right Josh (the young one) I need a really fast, sleek,
sweet, awesome looking, cool, Plane, made of balsa from scratch. I tried a
10 piece girlfriend and she was ugly, yuk. Also I need a Nitro or gas
motor, big on power. And as big as possible to be seen up high. Also kids
and puppies dodging is fun,
Tx 15 channels + , Looks great, and impressive to the onlookers.
I am kitted out.
HMMMMMM I think I will stay with the – OLD 35 Year OLD, JOSH.
HE Seems to make more sense.
Foamy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We need a plane called the SCOT FLYER.

rocketry, and starting to do RC planes.

that has a fish for a pilot

Adam Robbins Rc Hobby says:

Great job guys love the beginner series. Could you please do an
intermediate and expert guide to what plane to get next and more advanced
aerobatics.

kilarambo246 says:

Hey guys I have the art tech dragon flyer 3ch slow flyer and my battery
can’t hold a charge for long , all of sudden the engine will quit and only
goes to 50% power after that it will die.

lmorrison17 says:
