i want an rc i can just have fun with , just to get me out of the house ,
any models u would recommend ?

Anthony Delaney says:

Oh no! I’m “mechanically challenged”!

AManWithAPlan4 says:

As a nitro owner.

Buy electric, lot quieter and you can drive it any time of the day.

Extra batteries may add to the cost, but it’s worth it.

GamerNRetro says:

I’m not bashing (pun intended) on Nitro users it is just I have very little
mechanical skills. My brother bought me 2 Nitro vehicles when I was rather
young (12-13 or so), and the were a NIGHTMARE to maintain and tune. He was
able to do it no problem because he is an auto technician and he loves
doing that. To me, Electric seems like a great option (especially now with
brushless motors and LiPo batteries). I have a monster truck coming in the
mail next week and cannot wait to be re-introduced to the hobby.

South Coast rc says:

Good info buddy, but those rc’s are hella lame :)

Matthew Doyle says:

Nitro is better because the fuel lasts longer whit a electric you could
only get like 1or 2 hours the nitro car can last 6 hours but its simpel
gust full it up but whit electric rc cars you have to whaight hours for it
to change and nitro is faster

Ty Pientka says:

2 or 4 weel drive

Sajid Mirza says:

I want to buy brushless electric drifting rc car to be used indoor on tiled
surface i want car to run atleast 2 hours on one charge any suggestion? My
budget is not more then $250.

Peter Gotham says:

i LOVE nitro cars personally, when you on a beach and your running an
electric car, no one is bothered but when you have a nitro car people stop
and stare and say woow and try to talk to you, for me that’s more fun.

12cwell says:

electric is better but they just bolt the cheapest shit parts on them like
i paid 400$ on my slash 4×4 wanted to tune it to go faster so i bought the
most powerful battery for my vxl 3s and that fuckin thing was quick but
broke everytime i brought it out, where as i bought a nitro car with 4wd
for 100 bucks on ebay brand new all aluminum parts but didnt include the
engine so i bought an engine for 100 bucks xtm .18 racing engine, and it
may have been a tad slower then my electric rc car but my electric one was
400 bucks!!!!!!! and all in all glow plugs, gas, glow starter, air filter
radio, cervos costed me 225$ exactly and nitro is WAAAAAAY more fun then
electric cause it sounds like a screaming banshee!!!!!! and the fuel may be
expensive but personally i think they last a bit longer cause the
components are made from cheap ass plastic

TTime685 says:

Electric for the win! Nitros are cool though

Gardener Rob says:

Lol electric has a lot more acceleration than a nitro car, anyone that is
into rc stuff should know that. My local rc club race there cars every
Saturday and the electrics pretty much always win, so for those of you
saying electric is for wimps I will gladly race you. For anyone new to it I
would strongly recommend electric, especially if you plan on doing a lot of
competitive racing. Not bagging nitro, I own an electric and nitro car and
love driving both but it makes me laugh when the nitro fans say electric
cars are the wimps choice.

Karen Walls says:

Very helpful. Thank you.

TheIronyOfLaughter says:

THUMBS UP FOR HIMOTO BOWIE!!!

Mathew Festoff says:

One isn’t better than the other…Only different. As a mechanic and car
enthusiast at heart. I chose and love Nitro. Sure it’s more work, but I
love it and that’s what matters.

Saludos.

LETMEHAVETOPCOMMENT says:

Im all a nitro fanatic, Nitros can keep their speed depending on gear
ratio. Also the same thing with Electric

a_m.e says:

Which will cost more??

Elijah Zepnick says:

Nitro is for people who are serious about getting one electric is for
babies. Screw my neighbors I have a nitro car and let me tell you it’s
amazing much faster than a gay electric and you can tune it anyway you want

Leyvitt Rodriguez says:

How to know that the engine is damaged, as one can know, my car electric is
tornado exp red cat, engine 3300kv

gheorghe baltag says:

where did you get the cars

Torbjørn Larsen says:

Team associateds speed record with rc car is 170mph.. the car still
accelerated but it went flying into the air and crashed into a million
pieces.. all this with brushless and lipo power. one downside with electric
is you need to be geared so the motor temperature stay below 75celsius, or
have alarm system. if not your magnets can get unglued from the rotor..
just swap motor pinion when your running speed runs on asphalt. And don’t
drive in tall grass.. brushless got way more torque.. nitro can use much
thicker diff oil without the car going wheely maniac or damaging drive
shafts that was made for nitro.

Vadim All From China says:

Nitro

A. Diaz says:

An actual pro and con of nitro and electric? Good job sir. I agree totally,
although comparing base costs including nitro, batteries, chargers, run
time, battery life, filters, replacement motors / engines. I look forward
to further reviews and have subscribed.

DanSVT03 says:

Yeah ok Elijah. I don’t care how well you tune your nitro engine. It will
never move as fast as the mighty electron does. Nitro used to be much
superior to electric RC cars, but now with brushless motors and LiPo
batteries, nitro is getting it’s doors blown off. They are both fun and
with nitro you have the satisfaction of running a real working engine, but
when it comes to pure performance and ease of use, electric all the way.

zedini zedod says:

electric cars are a wimps choice nitro is cheaper, more fun and manly

odysseyrider05 says:

thank you so much for the info!

The Showster says:

Now electric cars are faster than nitro

Navraj Gill says:

I have Nitro’s but sometimes I like to scare turds out of my cat and I
can’t chase him around indoors blasting exhaust fumes everywhere so
electrics are good for rainy days.

Shawn Couwenhoven says:

6000 will really last a hr???

kapitalisttas says:

i like your video very educated im now.

daj4ckelnz says:

Those are HSP not Redcat. REDCAT RACING IS A OFFBRAND COPY OF HSP

Josh Peters says:

i love the blue color on the brushless truck

Rivers RC says:

great vid mate i have the brushless one that is in this vid 🙂 i also have
a nitros aswell.

biglightbt says:

You can still use LiPo batteries with brushed motors. Its the ESC that
needs to be compatible.

evilet1111 says:

Brushed and LiPo are fine. The ESC needs to be compatible.

Pyro Turtle says:

3:33 “weather or not you have a brushless or a brushless motor”

OffRoadADDICT says:

hey nitro is sick !,…..but lets be honest….gas combustion engines are a
thing of the past…….I like your video…but facts are facts

OffRoadADDICT says:

nitro cars are like flip phones…soon will die out and be forgotten
….and then you get a smartphone… or brushless electric car…fact

maier153 says:

Brushless systems have the following advantages over brushed – more
efficient which will provide longer battery life – are generally
significantly faster than brushed motors – can use LIPO batteries for
significantly higher speeds and acceleration – are normally sealed which
avoids getting dirt in the motor

Chris Tythcott says:

Why not both? Thats what i did:)

Jimmy Page says:

Electric RC cars are catching up to gas RC cars in speed and run time.
Electrics are usually the same MPH if not 1 or 2 mph quicker than gas cars.

David McGovern says:

Make it blue! Lol

farmall deere says:

uhhm, the nitro gas truck is a redcat and the electric ones are but the
nitro

Owen Rutledge says:

those are off brand

Smitty Smit says:

Smoke & gas baby!!!!

ReBootEnzo says:

I’d like to see an electric truck pull a nitro truck. Nitro = torque.

roboticmind23 says:

seems a lot more like an opinion to me. but what do i know, i only learned
the difference in school

angus brown says:

I am getting a nitro this Christmas and I will be 11 and my dad will help
me use it

carlos ramire says:

nitro is a mess especially if you live in a big city like i do. brushless
is the way to go no flammable materials, and basic mechanical skill will do
just fine, about the battery limitations, just get a few 5000+ mah lipo
batteries and you will be having fun for more than you can handle……..
over all a lot more fun and no running after when it flips…..
