When i first heard of “The fault in our stars by John Green” i just thought
it was your google-ganger or somethin because there was no way that THIS
John Green could write THAT story. Turns out i was wrong. John Green the
romance writer and lifehack tester :)
Unique. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think
it means.
solid Stefon quote.
I’m a bit disappointed that you didn’t include Hugh Dancy. His hobby is
carpeteering, for crying out loud – it doesn’t get weirder, and awesomer,
than that! For those who are unfamiliar with that hobby: carpeteering is
when you photograph the carpets in airports and then upload them onto a
website where they’re catalogued and reviewed.
So. Will Smith, Tom Cruise, and David Beckham went to join a fencing
tournament.
Unfortunately, Cruise forgot to bring the swords, so their plans were…
foiled.
Wouldn’t this more accurately be described as “Hobbies of 48 Successful
People”? None of these are unique, and most aren’t even particularly
unusual.
golf is not a unique hobby
Learning to play the ukulele to impress a girl seems like a foolproof plan
to me. I’m surprised it didn’t work.
Do they really say “Don’t forget to be awesome” in your hometown? And if
so…which hometown? Don’t you have two? Just curious. –English
Students Everywhere who are made to watch Mental Floss on YouTube every
Monday morning, simply because their English teacher LOVES alliteration. :)
Tim Duncan is now officially ultra awesome
#49 Richard Feynman played Bongos in strip clubs. ;)
By the way, the Klu Klux Klan wanted to carve something on mount Rushmore,
but got outweight somehow. I heard this story somewhere. True or false?
A lot of these hobbies aren’t especially unique. Bicycling is a very
popular hobby.
not one of these hobbies is “unique.”
it seems that the headline writer doesn’t know what the word means.
Well, of course I knew that Bill Clinton played the saxophone!
I mean “Dot is cute and Yakko yaks! Wakko packs away the snacks, while Bill
Clinton plays the sax, WE’RE ANIMANIACS!”
I’ve never heard the phrase “Bicycling” before, I’m from the UK and we just
call it “Cycling”.
“And This club has EVERYTHING”
If you get it, OMG IS IT FUNNY.
the Wright brothers used their skills as bicycle makers to make their
planes.
Mindblowing Question: Who in the world pronounces Potato and Tomato like
Poe-tot-toe and Toe-Ma-toe and not Poe-tay-toe and Toe-may-toe
Lol I was reading an excerpt from Ayn Rand while watching this
Wozniak is also a world class Tetris player.
G.W.B. is way bad at painting, but he is better at painting then he was at
being a decent man or a decent president.
it would be cool if you did something on all the stuff on wall
“mom, I wanna be like Angelina Jolie.”
“Oh, yeah? You wanna be an actress?”
“No, I want a dagger collection.”
Apparently Robin Williams played the tabletop fantasy/sci-fi wargame
Warhammer 40k. He played Orks, btw.
No mention of Tolkien and Conlanging (creating languages)
Golf was also liked by Rudyard Kipling
a question: what was thinking the first man who drank cow milk?

What exactly is the Staff Pork Chop Party Fund and when will you have the

OH MY GOSH HE MENTIONED STEFON
I call BS, Sigmund Freud was a coke addict so, why wouldn’t he do magic
mushrooms?
When he said “not those kind” when talking about the mushrooms… he was
looking into my soul and reading my mind!!
Sounds like he’s saying menopause and not mental floss.
Rod Stewart = Model Trains
Bill Gates my inspiration 🙂
Amanda Seyfried is really into taxidermy.
” Did you know that when I’m not hosting Mental Floss on YouTube, I have a
hobby? I write books!” – cracked. me. up.
My word!!! Shia LaBeouf will never live the plagiarism thing down…
so…. none of these are really unique lol are they considered that way
because they’re different from what the people were famous for? Is it odd
that they had other interests as human beings? I’m just confused why this
is a list for unique hobbies and they’re all just normal, run-of-the-mill
activities.
Ryan Gosling knits?! Can he stop making my ovaries explode everytime he
pops up? Like why can’t his hobby be mince-meat pie making? …. well then,
that would be sexy too.
because golf is such a unique and unusual hobby…
Why do we drive in a park way and park in a drive way?
