Update 5/2014 – after 5 Years I finally got tech data from a bigger heli: LAMA Sa 315B with 3,4m http://goo.gl/vr9we7
On the other hand it only has 5cm more main rotor – but 10kg less the weight…
Maybe we can do a video with both on the same airfield and let the camera decide which one is bigger?

This is NOT my heli – it’s from a friend – Josef Schmirl. We had him as a guest flyer on our local field. It’s the worlds biggest RC HELI. Feel free to discus this but please only if you have tech specs of bigger or similar sized helis! I don’t count commercial or military drones!

From a distance people are going to think its a real military helicopter
I find it stunning how many people talk shit about people’s video’s like
Russ prince on here. I seen his whole 4 video’s, 3 of which are
simulation’s on how he teaches you to fly, then his other video show’s him
flying upside down in place with a hobby store heli with an electric motor
but yet he gives this guy’s flying skill’s chit when this chopper is 4
time’s the size and is turbine powered. I’am sure this chopper does not
handle in anyway like his small electric chopper. This is based off an
attack chopper which is NOT designed to do fancy trick’s!!!!!!!! He know’s
how to fly but knows nothing of capability of design. I dont mean to troll
but this heli’s builder deserves better respect than that.
its all fun and games until us rednecks use it for target practice…either
that or it crashes
I have a great idea… 2 REMOTE CONTROLS!!! 1 for the pilot, one for the
gunner of the 2 machine guns this builder should add on the bird. Then we
let Russ Prince fly it with one remote and the builder holds his finger
right above the red button on the gunner remote. At the exact moment when
Russ “points the nose in to himself”, the gunner lowers his finger on to
the red button, we have one less bragging egotistical idiot and just about
everyone on this post starts the rest of their day with a smile. You all
have a wonderful day now!
These videos today, done by amateurs. I like the build, I like the video, I
dislike the sound that you have not thought. It’s fucking ear pain, get a
decent mic or a different soundtrack, makes the video unwatchable with
sound turn on.
This seems like one of those toys I would have fun with for 20 minutes, and
then never use it again.
Get the redbullshit off of it, and youll have something there.
If a 1000 of these were strong enough to hold strapped with 50.cal guns

Does it have a camera for FPV?
I always found it ironic how the people that spend the most time and money
on this hobby always make the worst pilots. I’m not sure I saw the “pilot”
even do a single true circuit. They’re all afraid to point the nose in to
themselves. Lousy altitude control and poor rudder coordination. I guess
some people just like to spend money and build but not really fly.
