Hi gcm, awesome vids you guys make, I do want to share something with you
guys, I am starting a series of videos dedicated to tamiyas history, its
called and you can type this in the youtube search…Tamiya collector
corner part 1 … each vid will start in order with first to last of the
cars I liked and also cover most of there first cars, just want you to let
sang sorry if I spelt it wrong but that’s the guy that you have on your
Tamiya collector vids, let him know about my vids and maybe he can help me
with things I may not know. if you can tell him to post comments on
anything as I make the vids, I would love to have him on my show with some
of his cars but im in new York and you guys are in Canada so I don’t think
that would happen, but thanks for your time on this hope to hear from yas
which Porsche 959 were you guys referring to, the on road one or the off
road one with the yellow rims??
Great video! Brings back the good ole 80’s for me as well! My friend had
the Sand Scorcher and I had a F150 XLT ranger and a Frogger.. We raced a
little in the Bay Area Foster City I believe…Hopped them up a little and
ran seven cell nicads I think!!
I still am in the hobby and have a RC 10 B4.1, and just ordered a Trail
Finder 2 RTR from Santa…
I have a 1969 Porsche 917 dynamic model vintage rc car I am looking to sell
1(828)292-4908
such a good and informative video, thank you so much for posting. And
answering so many questions just by talking about this great collection. I
am building my first rc car as a kid “the frog” I still say the “laid down
shocks were decades ahead of that time. but I need to know if I can put a
more powerful moter in the reissued little frog? or did tamia already
compensate for that? tyvm
it’s a wonderful collection… wow, i’m speechless..!
for my first kit I do believe ill get a lunchbox. I wasn’t raised in the
time of these rc’s but I do respect them!
Great video guys… what a trip down memory lane… I’ve still got the bug
too reliving my youth, I love collecting too… Just wish I had more time
to use them… Keep up the good work…. Your right – the Porsche 959
really is THE Tamiya car to get… Here’s hoping… :)
Hi gcm just wanted to let you and sang know that I love your videos and
that I made part 2 in my Tamiya collector series on a very rare car, check
it out and let me know what ya think here is the link

Nice video, something I am just getting back into. I currently have in my
collection a Re issue Brat, that is minus it’s hard body and the lexan body
hasn’t been painted yet. I also have a re-issue Lunchbox, which is modified
with oil dampers, strut brace and 5th damper, this is going to be USED! I
also have another Lunchbox, that has been built from spares that i’d
acquired to future proof repairs on the first one, until I realised how
tough it is…. This one is possibly going to be fitted with a used Pumpkin
body that a friend has from his rebuilt vintage, original Pumpkin. Last but
not least, I have what you describe as the less popular but to me, the Holy
Grail, Toyota Celica GrpB Rally Special. This car is used and has been
abused in it’s past, due to some broken sections on the chassis (MSC mounts
for one), it is now fitted with an ESC but otherwise it’s standard. The
shell is battered but presentable and was purchased around 2000-2001 from a
large hobby shop, where the sales guy suggested I fixed it, put it on the
shelf and forgot I owned it……He obviously saw the future for values for
these cars. I ignored him…..One day I will find the required bits to
bring it back to it’s former glory but it is a runner!
Wow, impressive collection! Thank you for sharing this with us!
Why not bring back the grasshopper and sale it at radio shack as a budget
RC
Ok great, I appreciate your time, tell him if he can not make it then maybe
he can contact me anytime about the video or anything rc related, would
love to hear from him. thanks again ….Kevin
Smartest thing Tamiya did was reissue the old kits. I got a Hornet, Frog,
Hot shot, Wild one. Fast Attack and Stadium Blitzer. If you showed the 15
year old me the collection I was going to have I would have been a happy
guy.
thats a kick ass lil track !!!! i love the scale look awesome work
guys!!!!!!
This was awesome guys, took me back to a nice time. Two thumbs up! :)
cool video. where are you all at in the U.S.
I found an old CC-01 Honda Crv
i had a monster beetle the fast attack when i was younger .. that is a
great collection. now you are making me want to get some lol. great job
guys
This bring me back so much memories of my past I still owned all those
vintage RCs just the body needs to be replaced besides that all my rollers
are fine. Great video guys. Cheers
Great Rigs Sang. The Sand Scorcher takes the cake with all the Alum.
upgrades.
Part 2 is very wanted on this Tamiya collection! :)))!!! Thanks :)
When you mentioned lots more vintage Tamiya to come last week, I had a
suspicion it was Sang. Excellent team-up from RCOttawa, I always enjoy both
of your videos.
I have almost the same collection as you and about the same story as to how
I got into RC. Yes, if they re-release the 959 I am going to buy it. It’s
the only one that I want to complete my 1980’s collection.
Wonder if he has a Saints Dragon
Great video!!
Great video, and a great jump back to my youth. Keep up the good work!

Nice stuff!!
Is this Sang on URC Forums?
That guy has some nice cars. He’s a collector and I am glad he shared his
collection with everyone. I like all those cars (well not the falcon,
haha) and can’t wait to see the next one. Nice work 2SubaruBrats.
nice collection I wanna see more thanks guys
Great job. I had a 959 in the 80’s but sold it. Big mistake, doh! Was cool
to see some of the old iconic Tamiya rigs, I don’t miss the old electronics
and batteries though. :)
Great video! Thanks for posting!
