watch out for ezrun brushless 1/10 systems the motor is advertised as 540
size, its actually a 380 size with fins on it, i have fryed 2 of these in
my team associated t3 2 wheel drive, but all the best with your buy and
good video, cheers .
You should not drain lipos under 3 volts per cell. 3.7 volts per cell is
super conservative. I have used 3.1v per cell as a safe cutoff and never
had any problems.
I suggest that you upgrade your ESC to a 60 amp because I used a 45 amp ESC
and paired it with a 3 cell lipo battery and ended up shorting out my ESC.
I was left with a melted price of plastic and and burned wires. The exceed
company manufactures the brushless counterpart to the brushed sunfire buggy
and uses a 60 amp ESC. If I wanted completely overkill, I would use a 5900
kv tacon motor, an 80 amp esc, and a 2200 mah sky lipo or gens ace battery.
you need a much more powerful system for that 4×4 buggy.. what you have
there is guaranteed heat problems. i had the 65 amp version and with fairly
light gearing also had some excess heat…. good luck man. cool video
though!
I would appreciate if you could make me a video on how esc work because I’m
new to brushless cars as I have just purchased a Trojan 1/16 buggy with a
4800kv motor and lipo battery which to my knowledge is super fast.
@smeelokilo At the moment we don’t have thicker axles or axles that’s like
the ones that comes with the Traxxas items. Do you still have the stock
motor on the buggy? The axles should be more than enough to handle the
stock brushless motor that comes with the Sunfire.
hey im thinking of getting a brushless 1/10 rc car im happy with most of
the fetures but im not to happy on the running time its an 8h charge for
5-10 mins of usage is this true and do you have any tips for me to make it
last longer
@nitrorcx I ordered new ones and they snapped/bent also :/ Would jumping
the buggy cause this at all? There is a pathway of monkey grass that I like
to jump with the car but it’s not a big jump, maybe 1 1/2 feet of air at
most and I broke an axle shortly after doing this once.
@nitrorcx Yes, It is completely stock except for the battery. As stated
above I got a 2 cell 5000mah 20C Lipo for it. I had the ESC cutting off
after 3-4 seconds issue with the stock NiMH battery.
@Ch2is86 nihm battery over 4000 is just as quick as a Lipo and very cheap i
have the set up with a 6500 nihm and tested it with a 2 cell lipo 4600 7.4v
and the nihm had more peak just trim the ESC card to more punch and change
the degree to highest hope this helps
Yes you can use a 3S lipo with that combo, but you might want to upgrade
the fan on the ESC later on down the road since the fan isn’t rated for 3s
usage.
Man I don’t recommend these cheaper setups by Hobbywing and others. Just
spend the extra money and get the Castle system. This system is like $70.
The castle sidewinder is literally like $20 more. Spend the extra.
Hi I have a short course 2 WD rc hell hound and it has a brusless motor .
But I only bought a battery whis las up to 18 min but it’s really fast do u
know where I can get longer lasting batteries? Thanks!
Nice vid. I font normally buy exceed cars. Picked up a drift star and
through a 35amp esc and 4300kv motor on it with a 2s 5000mah 65c gens ace
battery… It rips

Why did you not remove your old esc when you did the upgrade?

@nitrorcx thanks i have what rick130 has
will it work on any rc car or does it have to be a electric rc car

We have these combos listed online from $84-$94
what fan upgrade do you recommend and what is u opened opinion on foam foam
tires vs rubber on road?

How many did it cost
I have 5000mAh 3s Lipo in MT(similar design RC car), and get over 40min(1h
max) of driving. 36x50mm ~500W motor.
3s

@BashMonkeyRC Good to know, I always set it to 3.2v minimum personally.

i just bought an electric r/c rogster 1:10 buggy and was wondering if it is
any good and alos what size brushless motor would it need?
nice !!! im thinking of geting a brushless combo for my driftking
@smeelokilo Is the fronts breaking or the backs? And where are the axles
breaking?
i just brought the ezrun 9t combo for my tamiya gravel hound
is the brushless motor water proof
How to take the motor off?
The combos don’t come with connectors and you have to solder on your own.
@sjiyuey thanks ill use them two i think 🙂
is this waterproof??
@omarrckzs77 1 10 is bigger than 1 15

Anybody recommend one that’s under £100 but is fast as f*ck??? Please reply
soon

whats the best rc car for under £75? in terms of speed?
that ezrun motor isnt even a 540 can its a 340 disguised as a 540 as such,
not as fast as a actual 540 motor
Is there some kind of reciever I could hook this motor up to so that i can
just push two buttons whether i want it to go backwards or forwards?
And zero emissions
my 2wd stampede using 32p 17/68 will run between 60-70 kmh. just a rough
guess! haven’t had it hold together long enough to GPS it! lol

@omarrckzs77 its the scale of the car. so 1/4 is a quater the size of the
real thing, 1/10 is 1 tenth the size of the real thing.
