Screw the plane, did the helicopter survive?
It sure was fun watching that beautiful plane get destroyed by a 50 dollar
chopper.. 😉
Actually the RC Clubs board of governance ruled that the Zero Pilot was in
violation of the helicopters airspace. Also, the Zero was an out of the box
assembled World Models ARF and was not built by the owner, although it can
be ordered as a kit, it likely cost him $1000 bucks new and far less if
used. So he is not a hobbyist but a flyer. Big difference. Now, the
helicopter was not a Cox or air hog it was a T Rex 450 a precision model
with a titanium or aluminum air frame and cost between $750 and $1200
depending on the option.
Did the pilot survive?

This is one of the main reasons I don’t join RC flying clubs and I am lone
wolf. There are rules and bull crap and miserable people that snear at
others for doing certain things. I want to fly planes, helicopters and
drive RC cars for fun. Yes fun!!! not have bull crap rules that “govern”
these sorts of hobbies. My advice is get a cheap yet capable model and take
it where there are no people around and do what ever the f**k you want. I
like Heli’s, I like planes and cars. Anything RC really. But those who want
to partake in the hobby and get drawn in by clubs by miserable old c**ts
who try and force there rules on to them like its a full time job, just
infuriates me! In my opinion the so called pro RC hobbiest’s turn the
younger generation’s away from model hobbying and destroy the buisness as
it were.
XD the helicopter broke only a little
This was hard to watch. Why, oh why, didn’t the pilot eject?
XD I thought it was a bird but then the slowed reply.. a freakin upside
down rc helicopter?! XD
One day i will build an RC place as cool as this but attack bb guns on the
wings and one that rotates on the top and it will have cameras and some
lasers and be like pew pew pew pew
that literally made me cringe… ouch!
Why does someone bring their helicopter to a model PLANE I emphasize the
word PLANE area?! And in slow motion it looked like the dumbass was ready
to take a nose dive in the first place. The helicopter I mean.
In my club, the helicopters are not allowed. There is another club for
that…
It is always unpleasant to have a rotating wing near when you’re flying a
aircraft…
We are forbidden to pacer on the side or front of a aircraft propeller,
then why we allow the fly helicopters so close to us ?
For me, the helicopter pilot is totally at fault …

So when someone yells Low Pass what should the helicopter guy do? Land his
helicopter?
Seems to me that if you are blasting through the sky 60+ miles an hour in a
plane, you need to be watching out and planning your path, not the
relatively stationary helicopter.
Honestly I would have been heartbroken had the chopper been on of those
badass nitro birds, trex’s I think they’re called. Those things are just
unreal especially when flown 3D or “negative pitch”(upside down) as the
guys say below. Thankfully it was just an electric. LOL. No offense
electric guys, you just dont know what you’re missing(I drive nitro
cars/trucks, 1/8 truggies and buggies! Ahahhahaha.
I rejoined my local airfield this year to quadcopter race. Luckily the
course is somewhat far away from the main airfield as I see the same ole
same ol BS up there everyday almost. A lot of sneers and snarls at
everyone who isnt the good ole boy club. I wont renew next year — and
these ass hats are the reason the hobby is in trouble
