A sunny afternoon flying my electric powered plane ends in disaster when I become disorientated from the glare from the sun.
All ends well after the plane is recovered with my GoPro 3+ Black Edition. Location is The Cape Range National Park, Exmouth Western Australia. Aircraft, Nine Eagles Sky Climber.
OMG 1,000,000 VIEWS!!! Thank you World. I never thought this little video
would get such a huge response. Thank you everyone for your comments (good
and bad) & for rating.
I have a bit of work to do now to top this. Woohooo!!
Dude, that was the best crash ever!! Loved all the fish, sharks, turtles
etc loved it
This video was oddly fitting as the mystery video for Dan’s blindfold
challenge
Oh you have got to be kidding me 2,000,000 Views!!! As a famous tennis
player once said…You Cannot Be Serious!! Thank you to the second million
people to watch my video. I love you all :D
probably shouldnt be flying these things if youre just going to crash them.
that ocean could have been a person, or even a child. please stop
endangering our children.
@CyberFreaked yes I have 90min. of raw footage. Way too long for YT.
Damn almost wished I lived in australia. I would chalk this one up as
“worth it” for that video. Very cool. You know what to do next right? RC
boat with camera underwater. GREAT video!
U WENT SWIMMINNG IN THERE EVEN THO U SAW A SHARK ON UR OWN VIDEO FOOTAGE?
I lie in Exmouth (Devon, UK) and happened upon this video. What great
underwater footage. I think I prefer your coastline to mine. 🙂 TURTLES!!
o/
I hate the fact that the article that brought me here calls this airplane a
fucking drone. In the article’s body, they say it’s an RC plane but the
headline has to have the word DRONE in it to get views.
Great video man!!! Sharks, turtles etc. Amazing!!!! ✌️✌️
WOW Mate nearly 2 million 100 thousand views, thats almost viral. Wicked
stuff mate and Wicked video too!
It’s almost worth doing this on purpose ha ha ha (-:
Another way to do underwater #GoPro videos http://youtu.be/0ImJuPpEpco if
slightly expensive 😉
#scuba #liveotscuba
Im trying to understand …. but i cant.. if you lost orientation for the
sun glare you only needed to turn arround and fly back towards earth.. or
sideways…. you kept flying in circles while spiraling down… its like
making the same mistake 10 times in a row again and again
PD: I fly FPV and also flew over the sea
This is funny, because the FAA (In their infinite wisdom) seems to think
that LOS (Line Of Sight) is somehow “safer” (HA!) than using a WIFI
connection to view your flight in First Person View (FPV). Clearly, this is
not the case, and I can’t imagine how any intelligent person would think
that is the case. This is proof to the contrary.
the underwater footage is really worth the crash..
A very beautiful bad luck
Those fishies in the water have no idea that they will be in youtube :-D
Peixes, Tartatugas e até Tubarões…

I fly RC and I scuba dive. Most times I don’t get to see what you recorded.
Maybe I should do the same to my plane. Have to look for a good spot first.
Great video.
GoPro always survive.
Where are the sharks and crocs?
@4:10 When I go in vacation, I spent days trying to find turtle, you crash
and see 2 turtles in one shot!!!! crazy lucky! :)
That ruled!
why did the glider crash? what the sun had to do with it?
I believe I can fly……….nekminit……….unda da sea unda da sea.
Interesting video, sorry you destroyed your aircraft in the process. The
video suggests that an RC Boat with underwater GoPro and FPV would be lots
of fun too.
maybe you should build a flying submarine.. that would give awesome footage
;=)
Sharks and turtles…

Así en el cielo como en el agua.
De lo mejor que he visto en grabación de vuelos.
I liked the water view better then the air view anyways. Lol.. also, when
I’m flying and I start to lose view of the plane or get turned around, I
just try to give half power and use lots or rudder to try and turn my self
around and figure out which way the plane is facing. One you start to roll
and pitch the plane the faster you will end up losing it like you did here.
Either way it was a fun vid, too bad the plane wasn’t water proof and could
keep running (flying) underwater and keep filming those cool fish. Lol.. if
I had access to that location I would get a nice rc sea plane to fly
there..
Great view bro!
Dude you should build an FPV submarine with all that beautiful marine life!
Thanks for sharing MrLiftHog. I’m sure the fellows over at Prop Busters
International would love to see this video. Feel free to join up at

Can’t get shots like that snorkeling!
After crash it like watching NATIONAL GEOGRAFIC EXPLORER… nice (
xcidently ) u derwater scene
where is this? i’d love to visit this beach!
This video is so much more than your plan crashing 🙂 it’s so beautiful
under the water.
Amazing, Amazing…. Amazing Video….
Thalassophobia is a bitch, I made it to 3:05 and paused it and went “Nope,
I can’t do it”.
Lost my Sky Surfer also this way on a local river… 🙂
Sorry about the plane, but at lest you got the incredible wildlife video
out of it. I love the first fish right after impact. He is like, ‘dude
ya’ll need to see this sh!t’

Didn’t have the brake enabled on your ESC.. prop keeps windmilling
(unrelated to crash)
The fish at 3:11minutes.
Hahahaha
I can’t say I’ve ever heard of solar glare interfering with RF frequencies.
I suppose it may have some effect on the receiver but surely not enough to
cause the plane to disorientate? That would be a major flaw in control
design as most flying will occur during the day…
All the thumbs down crack me up. “Booo, I hate airplanes and beautiful
nature!”
