Info for anyone wondering how to get into RC cars. I explain the different components of RC cars and possible price points to get entry into the hobby.

Good instructional video 🙂 – i’m a bit miffed about the voltages you list
for the LiPo-cells. The stated voltage on the packs is the /nominal/
voltage. The 3.7V/3.8V you mention is the storage voltage for the cells.
Upper cutoff is always 4.2V, but lower is 3,2V, and even 3.0V if you charge
them up immediately afterwards. Using them down to 3.8V will only use about
45% of the rated capacity, which is a bit sad.

at least then you wont ever be on the same channel even though you will
both use the 2.4 signal

How would a 3-fase DC motor work? does it simply not go negative like a AC
motor? Since you need a controller, I’d be inclined to say it is AC… How
are they different?

dude, toy rc are for kids~ don’t say only hobby grade RC are true rc. Both
toy and hobby grade rc are true rc, toy grade for kids and hobby grade for
adults.

Nope, it is indeed a brushless DC motor which takes three phase DC, it
operates almost identically to a three phase AC motor.

Yes stampede 4×4 was my first , easy to work on, easy to upgrade when
needed, easy to gey parts for, great size, lots of info online, absolute
perfect first rc, vxl brushless system also has a beginner/training mode
that only gives you 50% power but still have full brakes, also the stampede
4×4 is waterproof
