I have a Traxxas Stampede and I’m goin over to my friend’s house since he
just got an rc truck. My rc truck goes about 35 to 40 mph. But my question
is is that could it go in the snow? It is a battery powered one so i didn’t
know if i could do that. The engine after going really fast with it gets
really hot and it is semi close to the battery.
I used have Traxxas t-maxx and e-maxx I fall love with emaxx! But brushed
motor suck big time! I buy brushless motor it so great it last forever! And
brushless make battery live longer. Emaxx have so much torque and pretty
fast same as t-maxx but if u get large mah like 5,000 or more then it will
beat fuel easy. Also fuel motor pain in ass glow need replace every 40 hour
but for me need replace 2 or 3 day which glow cost around 4-6 dollar each
unless find cheap brand name. Also fuel motor must adjustable carb almost
everyday depend what weather out if hot day out then must turn to rich, if
cold or fog day out then adj more rich. If not adj right then motor will
worn out fast. Also u have to worry make sure fuel motor not over heat if
it over heat then it will lock up u have to rebuild or buy new.
I buy emaxx last 2005 then buy Novak brushless on 06 until around 2012 I
buy e-revo I took brushless motor out from emaxx put in e-revo. Today 2015
it still running so dang great and fast. I have 6 5000 mah battery (2
battery for 50-75 dollar from amazon)
Battery last around 1.5 year
Also I enjoy play e-revo in house too 🙂
BTW my charger take me 45 min to charger 2 battery it not bad
Im an electric fan, however if u take an electric rc and run it near people
they might think its a toy, Nitro is Manlier but its more complicated to
maintain, Speed isn’t of much difference electrics are lighter while nitros
are heavier but nitros have a sound and a smell which some will like and it
will also call attention and it looks more “hobbyish” than an electric in
my opinion, u can visually tune electrics though…
electrics are more easy to start , one switch and its done ! i like
electrics

better for racing

Electric more fun and easier for people with busy lives to get into the
hobby also faster quieter i had a nitro i spent more time fixing and tuning
it than having fun electric is easier but nitro is fun aswell dont take
sides all people dont like the same thing
electric is better nitro and electric can go the same speed but electric is
cheaper and easier to run and it is enviromently friendly and no noise
pollution
In that video the electric is faster and it is better, I am wondering how
they broke the cover so fast though. They probably did the “brake in” their
style for nitro which is idle through 1 tank of gas. I would drive it
slower for 5 tanks and thats a real brake in. The nitro would have won. The
only problem with nitro is that it takes a LOT of maitnence to keep it
running. Roughly 20 times more maitnence than the electric.
I think we shouldn’t campare these types. These depend on your feeling…
which you prefer… nowadays everyone is also really fast, precise,
expensive, etc.
Ima get nitro just so I don’t have TO wait 8 hours to charge

Electric is better, faster and less expenses .
My slash vxl, stampede vxl and emaxx can all do 60+mph. my emaxx will do
wheelies for blocks and can pick up the front end at top speed. The raw
power of electrics is incredible. while my revo 3.3 will do 40mph if im
lucky. There is no way nitro is better than electric you just cant compare
instant torque and just turn it on and go of electrics. Although i love my
nitro it has just such a different pressence when you drive them its hard
to explain i always choose my nitro first but there is no use trying to
compare the two they are worlds apart

Nitro is definitely better. i hate sitting around waiting for the battery
to charge with electric RC cars. it’s easier just to fill up the nitro RC
car

Electric is too fake fealing for me just instant speed duh we know that but
top end nitros kick as tuned well and right tuning is all it takes somthing
the electric guys wont do cause they dont want to get there lady hands

My pet peeve if when people say electric is always faster which isn’t true.
Not all out of the box electric rc cars are faster then out of the box
nitros they need upgrades both types of rc. Also electric RCs tend to come
in mostly plastic unless you buy upgrades or heavy duty variants which
allowed the little brush or brushless motor do its thing that’s my electric
have no real POWER and what I mean by that is and electric is powered by
well electricity! While a nirto or 2 stroke is powered by a miniature
explosion!

If you got a electric car and a car that uses petrol the electric one will

Electrics are fine, but boring. The Nitro’s are just as fine, but have an
element of urgency and excitement with the sound they generate. Electrics
whistle and whine. Nitro’s ROAR. They sound pissed off and that is what I
like best. These two were neck and neck on performance. Electric has more
torque as soon as you hit the accelerator. Nitro seems to have more
horsepower as it caught up quickly to the Electric in time to have a photo
finish at least where the camera was set up. Both are nice performers.
