Hi Medic, i have a good question for you. i have an older tmaxx 2.5r, and
am having issues with it. i can get it to idle and run at half throttle,
but when i hit full throttle, it bogs and quits. i have tried everything
from richening the mixture to leaning it out, after letting it warm up for
5 minutes or so. Any thoughts you have would help greatly. Hi speed at 4
1/4 turns out, low speed at 2 1/4 out. Fellow Canuk and rc enthusiast.

Great Jumps for that big beast, It’s funny how you said you could adjust
the jump or back off on the throttle a bit, then never backed off on the
throttle 1 bit ha ha, love your style man!
so the most expensive rc i have seen is $1000, but really that is
inexpensive for a hobby . is there better rc’s that i am missing ?

Great vid mate…. As usual. If that gap is 20ft it looks like you were
getting 30ft+ most of the time… Which is impressive from an rc that big
and heavy! You are tempting me yet again to look at losi 5’s!! Nice1
+RCSparks Studio™ / djmedic2008 Hey, I did some research on that Losi XXL
and I think I know what your problem is. The way the spark plug wire
mounts, its hooked onto the engine with a metal hook and it just rests
ontop of the spark plug connector and provides a spark, with a big jump
like this, what is happening is similar to what happened to your losi in
this video, the spark wire is coming up and loosing connection with the
spark plug, stopping the engine, but because of the hook, its immediately
pulled back down onto the plug so it starts right back up again.
I actually OWN the CDI losi used on the truck from when I tried to do a gas
conversion on one of my nitro engines, which failed miserably. But beside
the point.
I am pretty sure its just the plug wire loosing connection like what is
happening on your 5T, so you might want to look into a way of putting some
rubber grommets around the porcelain section of the plug, anything to give
it a snugger fit inside that wire connector will help it out tremendously.
Tapping the throttle like that can over heat and break your motor
Looks like you need to extend the landing pad out a little. :-)
Nice video, it is because it’s heavy or bigger then a traxxas 1/10 look
like a bit slowly but powerful

+RCSparks Studio™ / djmedic2008 when I run my scx10 in the sand and dirt I
used my compressor with a small air nozzle and it gets It really clean.
Blows most if not all dirt off the bearings and whatever else its stuck to.
