Filmed at the Tokoroa airfield in Feb 2014, this very large and expensive jet powered model helicopter fires real missiles — I’m not kidding.
This footage is “raw” and I’ll probably edit up a better version that isn’t quite so shaky in a few days.
We’re hoping to create the Tokoroa International Model Park (TIMP) at the airfield, a place where people can come from all over the country and all over the world to fly RC planes, helicopters and other models.

As like a lot of other people I think copters are for people who cant fly
planes and I’m not interested in ridiculous fly swatter moves that make a
lot of noise and do what no real copter can do, But there are exceptions to
everything I suppose, and this copter is an example of that exception! what
a great looking, moving and sounding copter, very impressive and shows what
a real rc pilot can do with some $$$, maybe I should look at the copter
vids more often, but I suspect this vid is an exception not the

At one point on one of the flybys 1:11 – 1:13 she pitches down a bit… I
wonder if that was due to speed? Maybe it was just the radio signaling….

Tokoroa is in New Zealand correct? Anyone seeing this in the U.S., before
you get any bright ideas, one of the few federal regulations on RC aircraft
is nothing that is unguided, self propelled or goes bang can be launched
from the craft. We have put on demos like this, but the pyrotechnics are
timed from the ground. Its a great hobby and lets all be safe so the govt.
doesn’t step in with more restrictions like they are trying to do with
private sector drones now

its not real missiles that would be against the law not onley that they

about time someone did a super scale Mi-17. Now this Mi-17 needs to fly in
formation with the other 2-3 super scale Mi-24. And on the other side get 2
super sclae Hueys and the Red Bull Cobra attach heli, all go head to head
in a nice skirmish show with lots of smoke. Here is a blank check. make it
