I’m most impressed by the fact that they actually manage to land these
beasts! Quick question though, wouldn’t it be easier to rig a camera in the
cockpit and control the plane through a monitor? Or is that considered
cheating?
The model Vulcan B.Mk2 is absolutely brilliant, with a couple of minor
exceptions.
When the Vulcans were in all white livery, the roundels and other markings
were much paler than on this model. The more obvious error is that in those
days they didn’t have that ugly ‘box’ on top of the fin, which wasn’t added
until some time after 1969. They were already camouflaged on the top
surfaces by 1965 so would never have appeared as on this model. To make it
authentic the upper surfaces need to be camouflaged in grey and dark green,
but leave the underside white!
For God’s sake don’t do what Vulcan To The Sky have done to the real XH558
and camouflage the underneath. That looks horrible, and (for me), spoils
what is otherwise a truly great job of getting her flying again.
Yes, I know I’m being picky, and most people would be completely unaware
that anything is wrong, but I worked as an electrician on those big old
birds from 1965 to 1969, at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, so it’s obvious
to me.
It really is a superb model, though. Well done, whoever built it.

This hobby needs in-cockpit 3D cameras, and oculus rift for a full flying
VR experience, just sayin’

That’s among the best consolidation of RC craft I’ve ever seen. Truly
impressive.
Anybody else notice how the narrow undercarriage of the ME109’s makes the
scale models just as difficult to land as the originals?

the desert in no time .
i hope these guys realize it only takes about 30 hp to get a man off the
ground and they probably have more.. make a full size cockpit.

sad ! A farmer make a plane for spraying pesticides, then he’s catched and

Nice stuff, I used to fly r/c planes 40 years ago, nothing big, just 36″
span jobs because that was the biggest I could carry on me bike as I
pedalled to and from the fields.
Incidentally has anybody modelled an r/c Harrier yet with VTOL capability?
Why does everything have to be so expensive. Just one of those Moki engines
in one of the WW2 fighters in this video are around 7,400.00 just for the
engine! If I managed to get one together, I’d never fly it, just start it
up and listen to that sweet engine.
It’s crazy. Expecting 1:1 models in 2-3 years.
